It is no fluke that Blue Gum Farm is located where it is.
Situated in a fertile valley at the foot of the Strathbogie Ranges, this undeveloped tract of land was specifically targeted for a variety of reasons back in 1980.
Soil composition, favourable climate including rainfall, proximity to the best in equine veterinary attention and other services were, and still are, very important considerations.
We have set our farm up from scratch, based on the best we’ve seen both here and overseas, with only the thoroughbred in mind.
Throughout the 800 acres that make up Blue Gum Farm, there are carefully maintained pastures, quality fencing with minimum twelve foot laneways between all paddocks and stables built specifically for the status of thoroughbred they house.
Our Focus on Care
We have the property, we have the facilities and we have the people here to care for your valuable thoroughbred in the wonderful environment that is Blue Gum Farm. And there is our 35 year plus history in the industry to back this up.
There are no short cuts taken here. Staff on duty at all times with the common objective of offering each and every horse on farm, quality care, every day.
The people who own this farm manage the farm. They work with a terrific team of people who have many years of experience between them and very much love what they do.
That is a prerequisite here! Whether it is working directly with the horses, in administration, on maintenance or in the gardens, the people of Blue Gum Farm have and always will be instrumental in its success.
